SUMMER BALL - SAVE THE DATE!
The Chint Summer Ball returns after a 2 year absence on Saturday 25th June 2022 at Epsom Racecourse.
​
With a 3 course meal, band, entertainment and auction, the Chint Summer Ball really is the highlight of the CPA Social Calendar and a not-to-be-misssed event! Tickets will be available to purchase in due course, but please block this date out in your diary now!
Head For The Day - Year 6 Parents Only
Would your child like to be Head for the day on 20th May?
​
The day will include:
An old fashioned gown to wear
Leading the church service (it is Grandparents Day also!)
Writing an extract for The Chronicle
Visiting all the year groups in their capacity as "Headteacher"
It should be a wonderful and memorable day for your child.

EASTER HAMPERS
The CPA Easter Bunnies have drawn the raffle ... The year group reps will be sharing a video of the winner for their year group being drawn at random.

SPONSORED LITTER PICK
This was a great success last year so we are hoping to see more children joining our team of Litter Heroes! Try and get the whole family involved so #TeamChint can do their bit in supporting their communities.
Amazon sell very well priced litter pickers and jackets.

The aim is to raise a minimum of £10 sponsorship and collect a minimum of 1 bag of litter per child ... you'll be surprised how much you find.

Santa's elves have been hard at work all year to bring your children a festive shopping feast on Friday 10/12/21! Please submit your orders to the elves and pay via BACS to the CPA using the details given on the order form. Please submit one form per child and pay for each child separately using the reference protocol indicated to help the elves process and reconcile the orders! Thank you!

Christmas Fayre
SAVE THE DATE! This is the highlight of the Autumn Term events for the children. Please come along armed with good cheer and play all the games and raffles. It is a lovely way to kick start the festivities and get into the festive spirit!
Reps will be asking parents to sign up to rotas to man their year group stalls and contributions for cakes/chocolate/bottles and sweet crackers will be requested in due course. Thanks in advance for your help in making this a success!

Please select from all the great merchandise options to celebrate your child's festive artwork. Orders must be in by Friday 12/11/21 (via your child's teacher or the School Office). These make ideal gifts for grandparents as well as cards and tags.

Parents' Drinks Evening
This is an informal opportunity to meet other parents and some of the teachers throughout the school. Tickets are £20 and include a drink and nibbles. It is with great regret that we were unable to hold our Summer Fair or Summer Ball again this year due to COVID restrictions. However, plans are already afoot to see that these go ahead next year.

Summer Litter Pick
Our litter picking events in the Autumn and Spring Terms have been a great success both in terms of the sponsorship raised for the school and for the amount of litter eliminated from the environment.
​
First time litter pickers will receive their green shield badge, second time litter pickers will receive their blue shield badges and for our third time litter pickers the coveted yellow shield badge will be awarded by Miss Trundle.
​
Please note, that this event needs to be completed by Monday 21 June 2021, with any sponsorship monies raised, to allow for shields to be sought and awarded.

Parent Business Directory
We are an incredibly supportive school and that goes for our parents too. Our Parent Business Directory allows our community to support each other in business as well as in school life. Would you like to advertise your business to the Chinthurst community? Our Parent Business Directory is open to all current and past parents to advertise their business for a small annual fee. Please read the attached notice to find out more. Entries for this year's Parent Business Directory need to be submitted by the end of the Spring Term so that the directory is ready for the start of the Summer Term.

Calling all civic-minded litter pickers! Can we beat our Autumn total number of bags collected and sponsorship?
Easter Mufti Day
There will be an Easter mufti day for the children on Wednesday 24/3/21.
​
For all children wanting to participate, please stick to an Easter theme such as:
* bonnets
* themed T-shirt (eggs, bunnies, spring flowers, chicks etc)
* own design (plenty of stickers on Amazon)
* bunny ears and tail
Suggested donation of £1 (but feel free to donate more!). Please ask your child to give to their teacher.
If your child usually has sport on a Wednesday, please ensure that they can still do so in their outfit.
​
After missing out on World Book Day at school we want this to be fun for the children and not onerous for the parents.
​

Easter wouldn't be Easter without a chocolate egg or two! The CPA will be handing out Easter Eggs (or allergy alternatives) to all the children at the end of term! Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!
